It's been a busy but rewarding year.
We've been fortunate to be able to spend time with our family, especially with our son, daughter-in-law and our precious grand-daughter Lannah who is now 18 months old. She has a little brother or sister due to arrive in early February, so you can imagine how excited we are.
It's been a privilege to travel throughout Australia this year, bringing our Schoolhouse demonstrations and lectures to quilt groups. Although I thought we'd seen most of the Australian countryside in previous travels, in 2009 we've visited many new little towns, near and far. The quilters that are tucked away in out of the way places are a special delight to share with.
Rob has been given the prestigious title of “The Quilting King”. He loves driving all over our great southern land, which is just as well as we've covered thousands of kilometres in the past year visiting quilters all over the country. He also feels very spoilt with all the wonderful baking and morning teas the ladies always produce wherever we visit.
I would like to thank everybody for making us so welcome on our travels. We've had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful friends... old and new.
Our calendar is already filling up for 2010. In March we're off to New Zealand with the Quilters Tour. We have a few shows planned, and many more Schoolhouse tours as well.
For now we're spending the holidays at home in Cabarlah where instead of "running the roads"... we're running after Lannah.

What a gorgeous photo - she is such a cutie.
Enjoy your break and hope all all the the most fantastic Christmas.
When do we locals get to share some quilting time with you again? I really miss our get togethers.
