We're often asked how to transfer photos onto fabric. Special fabric transfer sheets have made it easy to include photos or other images into a quilt, pillow or craft project. If you have a photo in mind you could just follow the instructions found on the packaging of your chosen printable fabric sheets.
If you really want to create a family heirloom you can even incorporate a child's artwork or some text into the project. Just think how much more fabulous your project would be if you also added the person's name or a favourite quotation. You could also use the technique of photo transfer to make custom quilt labels.
Anything you can capture digitally (scan or snap) can be printed onto special colourfast printer fabric sheets like Matilda's Own Printable Fabric Sheets or EQ Printables and used in a sewing project.
