You might not have met Gerry but chances are you've talked to her on the phone some time over the years. This month marks ten years with Quilters World!
Gerry spent a good many years on a property in outback Qld where she took up quilt making. It was in Blackall at a workshop that she met Pauline. Later when Gerry and her husband John moved to Toowoomba she stopped by Pauline's shop to say hi and has been working for Pauline every since.
Quilters World has changed a lot in the last decade but the whole time Gerry has been there lending a hand in all aspects of the business. Gerry went from being a student in one of Pauline's workshops to a career in the patchwork and quilting industry, that even included tutoring some classes herself. Nowadays Gerry runs the office and mail order room, acting as tour planner and event co-ordinator while Pauline and Rob travel about Australia.
At Quilter's World we know how special 'our' Gerry is, so it's cheers with a nice glass of Sauvignon blanc (she does like a good glass of wine)... Happy Anniversary and you're a jolly good pom!
When Gerry isn't at work she might be visiting Quilt Exhibitions to get inspiration for her next project. She always has a few on the go and recently brought in some of her works in progress to share.
This lovely quilt Gerry's making for her sister.
Gerry isn't a grandmother (yet) but she couldn't resist making an I Spy quilt.
A UFO that she's making plans to finish.
