After visiting Wave Rock in W.A., Pauline and Rob we encouraged to take a different route back to their van. They met some unique and colourful characters along a stretch of road near the town of Kulin, known as Tin Horse Highway.
You've all heard of Ben Horse, that epic movie starring that well known actor Charlton Horston
The local farmers have been trying to one-up each other each year since this horsing around started back in 1994. The creations keep getting bigger, bolder and brighter.
Just a simple horse-drawn wagon, right?
It has grown into a fully fledged competition, with about eight or so new entrants each year. There's even a pool of prize money and instant local fame for the winner.
Tin horses - any colour you like
Built in secrecy behind closed doors and erected under cover of darkness, these horsey creations start appearing during the lead up to the annual bush races in October.
Fillypoosis - a popular and well known local horsonality
You can find these horses, over 50 at last count, along the road to the east and west of Kulin, which is about 280 kms east of Perth in Western Australia.
Keep a watch out for when Pauline and Rob post more photos of their adventures by going here. Don't forget to bookmark it or add it to your favourites.
