Many people say it's hard to move the fabric through their machine when they're using a walking or darning foot. The machines are designed to hold and support the fabrics as we sew. The quilt sandwiches, with their extra bulk, make it even more difficult.
So a tool to make it easier to move the quilts is needed and that’s where the wonderful invention – the Sew Slip Mat comes in. It has a slippery side and a sticky side. The one side clings to the bed of your machine while the other allows your quilt to slide freely. The mat comes with a round hole for the needle, good when doing free motion quilting using the darning foot with your feed dogs down. If you quilt with the walking foot you’ll need to cut the hole into a rectangle shape to allow the feed dogs to work.
With the Sew Slip mat your quilt will glide through, without you having to push and shove. Your shoulders, neck and back will thank you.
